Kent tourism predicted to grow by 10% this year
Sandra Matthews-Marsh, chief executive of Visit Kent was interviewed on local radio kmfm this week and seems to be as optimistic as I am!
She said she would be surprised if the Kent tourism industry did not grow by at least 10 per cent this year. Like me she knows that people are looking closer to home to take their breaks because they have less money and Visit Kent are reportedly receiving many more requests for information from Europe than last year.
The strength of the euro against the pound encourages people to visit Kent and also deters people from going abroad.
