It was a grizzly grey day in Kent today but we needed to get some fresh air and so put on our waterproofs and drove to Deal, a coastal town located between Sandwich and the White Cliffs of Dover. Our mission? To visit the café located on the new pier designed by Niall McLaughlin Architects
Adam, my architect husband, thought the building had great detailing. I thought it looked very stylish and inviting even on a February afternoon, but we both wondered how it would fare after the seagulls have left their marks upon it! The hot chocolate was great and the staff are very welcoming and friendly!
